Leadership

Since Jimmy Carter was in office I’ve been in shipping. (Don’t remind me of the math.)

Back then there were just 200 freight brokers. Today, there are 17,000+ (and they all have your phone number, don’t they?)

You and I know that just buying a computer, having access to a load board and making phone calls offering cheap rates, doesn’t make one an expert.

With my help, my clients have weathered the gas lines of 1979, trucking deregulation that started in 1980, the dotcom debacle, and the $147/barrel oil spike of 2008.

While these stats may help you win a round of Jeopardy, it won’t help you with your business. I started 4 Way Logistics in 1995 to support small/medium size businesses with all types of transportation and logistics needs.

In 2016, in keeping with my vision of leveling the playing field for small/medium size businesses, I transitioned 4 Way Logistics, Inc. into 4WL Consulting. I created a simple process to benchmark a company’s LTL and Parcel so my Clients can have a deeper understanding of how they compare to their competitors in the market.

I am active in trade organizations, like CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals). I have also served on the board of the Los Angeles Transportation Club, the Traffic club of Greater Los Angeles, Delta Nu Alpha and the Transportation Intermediaries Association. I am certified by APICS designation CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution) and Transportation Intermediaries Association CTB (Certified Transportation Broker).
While staying in touch with the latest industry news and trends are important, I have several other passions too. When not working, I enjoy playing tennis and golf, and sailing (when I can get my hands on a boat). I am also a fan of new technology (early adopter) and love staying up to date with the latest tech products for both work and entertainment.
